Anti-Virus Update funktioniert nicht

  1. On a server where the Anti-Virus is working and updating:

    Open Windows Explorer and go to the Kaspersky Anti-Virus folder

    (default: C:Program Files (x86)Red Earth SoftwarePolicy Patrol EmailKaspersky64)

    and copy all the files in that folder (exclude any sub folders).
  2. On the defunct machine, paste all the files from the working server to the Kaspersky Anti-Virus folder, opting to SKIP replacing existing files.
  3. On the working server, open regedit and go to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeRed Earth SoftwarePolicy Patrol9.
  4. Copy the following values on the working server to the same location on the defunct one

    (adjust any folder paths if the installation location is different on the defunct server):

    - BDDataPath
    - BDInstalled
    - BDPath
    - BDRemoteUpdatePath
    - BDUpdatePath
    - KlavDataPath
    - KlavInstalled
    - KlavPath
    
  5. Open the Policy Patrol Administration console on the defunct server and go to the Kaspersky Anti-Virus node.

    Double click on the label ‘Anti-Virus database last updated’ (See pic below).

  7. Repeat step 5 on the BitDefender Anti-Virus node as well.
  8. Wait for the Anti-Virus updaters to complete (this may take several minutes).

Once ready the anti-virus engines should function as expected.
